Magnus completes a highly succesfull championship season.
Magnus places first at the 2008 LC New England 12 and Under Championships with Montanna Valler and Caitlin Sheridan tieing for 7th place overall in the girls 11-12 High Point Award. For the boys 11-12 High Point Award, Nathan Garner placed 5th, Jeffery Tan placed 8th and Robert Owen placed 9th.

Magnus also placed first at the 2008 LC New England OPEN Championships. The 13-14 girls had 3 High Point Award winners with Maggie D'Innocenzo placing 2nd, Bethany Douglas placing 3rd, and Monica Patterson placing 5th overall. The 13-14 Boys also had 3 High Point Award winners with Lorenzo Conte placing 1st, Kevin Bradley placing 5th, and Kyle Durand placing 8th overall. For the Open Girls, Laura Moriatry placed 1st, Erica Belcher placed 4th, Katelyn Martin placed 6th, and Meaghan Grimes and Candice Peak tied for 7th overall. For the Open Boys, Jun Oh tied for 1st and Nick D'Innocenzo tied for 5th overall.

Magnus places 1st overall in the ranking of New England swim clubs in the Toyota Virtual Club Championships for the short course season. The purpose of this program is to recognize and highlight clubs that are developing athletes and achieving success at multiple levels in the club swimming continuum emphasizing the team element in club swimming. This program serves as a key part of the Athlete Development & Performance component of the Club Recognition Program. The Virtual Club Championships will be tabulated annually for both the short course and long course seasons.
